Co-Parenting Classes (High Conflict):

• We offer an Individual (one on one) or Conjoint Coparenting (with Ex Partner)
• This program will help clients learn how to effectively communicate with their ex-partner
• We educate you on tools to manage conflict and our goal is to remain child-focused and fact-based.  This class can be CUSTOMIZED to your schedule for ease of completion. Usually done in 4 ZOOM meetings.   Certificate given upon completion.

Anger Management Program

Anger Management Program is usually completed in 8 Meetings or 15 Groups done on ZOOM.  Anger management is designed to help you manage the emotional and physiological arousal that accompanies anger incidents (road rage, relationship struggles, Parenting challenges and Financial stressors).  As it’s often not possible to change the circumstances or people that elicit anger, anger management can help you recognize your triggers for anger and learn to cope with them more effectively. Certificate upon completion.

Domestic Violence Treatment Group Classes – 52 Sessions to meet Probation or Family Court requirements in California (by County Approval).

The goal of our Batterers Treatment Program (Usually one per week) is to END Domestic Violence in your life!. Our long-range purpose is to eliminate the tactics of power and control (including physical, verbal, emotional, economic, sexual, psychological) by all participants.  You will join a pre-existing class of Men who are ready to change and learn tools to manage life and anger.  We are an OFFICIAL Approved Provider as recognized by the Los Angeles and Ventura County Probation Departments in 2024!  Click here for the latest approval lists.

Parenting Classes:

This class is rapid and done in 4 ZOOM Meetings (covering all 12 Lessons), which focus on understanding the stages of a child’s development.  We also cover natural and logical consequences, Age-appropriate parenting tools, dealing with ADD and ADHD children, and how to balance and maintain a support system for children.  Certificate upon completion.

Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you’ve faced, there’s nothing wrong with seeking out extra support when you need it through Professional personal therapy.  You are taking responsibility by accepting personal issues and making a commitment to change the situation.  Therapy provides long-lasting benefits and support, giving clients the tools needed to avoid triggers, re-direct damaging patterns, and overcome whatever challenges they face. Usually, hour long sessions once a week – but we can space them out if you prefer.

College Preparation and Admissions Program

Emotional and Adaptive Skills Readiness:

College is a huge change and emotional challenges usually ensue.  We are here to assist both the Freshman and his/her family.  We can help them become self-sufficient and maintain a healthy balance of academics and socialization.  An evaluation of his/her college preparedness can answer those questions and give parents and the student a road map for a successful college experience.

Reunification Therapy – Court Approved

Reunification therapy (Or Conjoint Therapy) is a therapeutic intervention model with the goal to repair the parent-child relationship which has been disrupted after a divorce or long absence.  We work with the parent who has been absent from a child’s life due to substance abuse issues, jail time, or other family court related matters.  The goal is to strengthen and develop a secure attachment bond for the child and parent in a SAFE and delicate way.

Expert Witness Testimony/Advice

Scott Barrella, MS CPIM LMFT is available to testify in court or give a deposition as an expert witness. He also does case management review for therapists, LCSWs and Interns.

Scott Barrella has supported and interacted with local County agencies for over 29 years (including Interface and the Coalition).  Scott Barrella has also been a member of the task force member for the Partnership for Safe Families in Ventura County, Commission on Homelessness and Simi Valley Homeless Task Force.  He was an original founding member of the Ventura County Batterers Treatment Provider meetings in Ventura County.   Scott is also a resource for Los Angeles County Superior Court and Probation Agency (Reference Available if needed).  Scott is an Expert Witness in Family Law Cases.  Scott was recently recertified as a BIP Facilitator by Los Angeles County Probation Agency in 2024.  See Scott in a recent taping of the Kim Pagano Radio Show!
